Your Events Page: Instagram and Events Calendar
Your Events Page: Instagram and Events Calendar

Your events page for your Brewery or Restaurant website (or any hospitality website) should have two major components and that's it. It should have your Events Calendar (Visual) and your Instagram feed on it. Presto, you have the absolute best page you can have. For WordPress websites, you only need two plug-ins and you can have a fantastic events page to keep people coming back to your website.

Events Plug-Ins we recommend:

  • Modern Events Calendar: This plugin lets you create events with details like schedule, location, organizer, etc. You can also sell tickets or bookings for your events via direct payment gateways or WooCommerce. It has four Elementor add-ons that let you design your event pages and booking forms using Elementor widgets. You can also create different layouts for your events, such as calendar, list, countdown, carousel, and more.

  • The Events Calendar: This plugin is one of the most popular WordPress event calendar plugins with over 800,000 active users. It lets you create separate events with venue and organizer information. You can also display your events in a few different views, including a calendar view. It has a premium version that adds support for recurring events and more display options. It also has an ecosystem of other plugins that offer features like event tickets, community events, filter bar, etc.

  • Eventin: This plugin is a simple and easy to use WooCommerce event manager plugin that lets you create and manage events, calendars, conferences, and sell tickets. It supports WordPress shortcode and Elementor builder. You can also display your events in various styles, such as grid, list, slider, countdown, etc.

Instagram Feed Plug-Ins:

  • Spotlight - Social Photo Feeds: This plugin lets you connect your Instagram account and create beautiful feeds in seconds. You can customize the layout, colors, buttons, and more with a live preview. It also has a dedicated Elementor widget and promotion options to create shoppable feeds or link in bio pages. The pro version adds support for hashtag and tagged feeds, more design options, filtering and moderation tools, and more.

  • Instagram Feed Pro: an elfsight product. This plugin helps you create, customize, and post Instagram feeds with no coding required. It is compatible with Elementor and lets you use its drag and drop editor to add Instagram feeds. The pro version offers features like hashtag and location feeds, more layout options, filtering and moderation, shoppable feeds, stories, and more.

  • Social Feed Gallery: This plugin is a user-friendly Instagram plugin that lets you create and manage feeds from your own account or hashtags. You can also display your stories and reels on your website. It has different styles and layouts to choose from, such as grid, list, slider, and carousel.

And before we forget, add a sign-up form on your events page to have people enter their emails to stay in the loop with what is going with your location. We also have seen many websites with "text only" calendars. Many of those don't work with smaller phones so you are left with a blank website section when potential customers are looking at your page. By having your Instagram and events calendar on your Events page, you are keeping a visual representation of what is happening at your location. It looks great and keeps current and future patrons engaged.
